Memorial Day

We went to a pancake breakfast at our church on Memorial Day. After breakfast they asked all the veterans to come to the front of the room. Lana, Dad, and myself all came up they gave us all pictures the kids had drawn, and an American flag. The kids all sang My Country, Tis of Thee. It was very touching. After the program the kids got to decorate their wagons and bikes and they had a parade around the church parking lot.

It was truly a wonderful celebration that David's ward put on. The tribute to veterans was very touching and the parade was a lot of fun. We all need to do more remembering of those who have worked in behalf of our freedom.

One of my best Memorial Days ever. The Primary kids created a piece of art for all of the veterans ... everyone who received one was very thankful; especially me!
