Dan, Kate & I went to the cabin over the 4
th. We had a nice time went on two nice hikes all the kids got their Jr Ranger badges. We got to go to the
neighbourhood 4
th picnic. Most of all we got to spend lots of time visiting with Grandma. She had fun visiting with some of her great grand kids and enjoyed being by the fire at night. One night we stayed at the fire until midnight she was enjoying it so much she did not want to go in.

We hiked to Emma Matilda lake. It is a great hike you start at the elk hunters camp on Pacific Creek and end up at the Lodge. It's 7 miles and mostly in the shade. The only bad part is you come out on the horse trails by the lodge.

It looks like you had a good time, I don't see the swarms of bugs i heard so much about. The creek looks pretty clear, not as muddy as when i was there earlier in the month. Does Libby know that the Griz like bells with their food?
